What is a Chakra
Working with our main chakra`s.
Colour and your chakra.
Working with Crystal and Your Chakras
What is a chakra exactly?
Chakras are our energy centers.
They are the primary mediators of all energy within the body and the energy that comes into the body from the Aura.
They are the openings for life force energy to flow into and out of our aura.
Their function is to vitalise the physical body and to bring about the development of our self-consciousness.
They are associated with our physical mental and emotional interactions.
What do chakras look like?
Chakras have been depicted as a funnel of sorts with smaller funnels within the funnel. They are also often referred to as looking like lotus flowers. I have intuitively viewed the intake of individual chakras as appearing similar to the blades of a fan or windmill in circular motion.
The Chakra Points.
Energy exists in all things in the known universe from human beings to the chair that you sit on. There are seven main points in the body where energy is obvious, these are called Chakras. The Chakra Points, to some degree, determine how you feel. Chakras are like vortices of energy that spin both from the front of our bodies and the back. These energy centres can get blocked and sluggish at times, therefore making certain aspects of our life or physical body feel the same way. They can also spin too fast and become overactive, this in turn can also cause imbalances on various levels. Therefore, what we strive to achieve is a nicely balanced chakra system, so that each centre is working at its optimum level for us to feel healthy and harmonious in all aspects.
It is important then to realise that you may not need to energies certain chakras or indeed that others will need far more energy at certain times. A qualified healer will be able to perceive what is going on in each of your chakras and would allow energy to flow (or work with colours, crystals and sound according to need for your highest good) By using your own intuition you can get a fairly good idea of what is going on in your chakra system and work with this accordingly.
With a well balanced Chakra system you will feel fit, healthy and harmonious. When they are not balanced you may feel disorientated, uncomfortable and lethargic.
The Chakras can also help you to communicate with the spirit realm. By learning to open your Chakras you push your energy level out, which 'opens' you for spiritual communication, but you must remember to close your Chakras because staying open too long will cause unbalancing.
7 Major Chakra Colours
This meditation can be done very quickly or you can spend some time focusing on each colour.
You will want to have pencil and paper handy to use following your meditation to write down any Thoughts and Feelings you received.
This meditation can strengthen each chakra center by visualising its vibratory colour.
You may notice that some centers are easier to visualise and fill with colour than others.
Some centers may need an endless amount of color and you may not be able to visualize some.
Any impressions should be noted after the meditation.
All of the colours you draw down should come from this brilliant white light sphere above your head.
Draw it down into your body, down the spine and into the root chakra. Let the color completely fill the chakra and allow any overflow to pass into the earth.
Fill the area of the sacral chakra with the colour orange and allow any overflow to pass into the earth.
Again fill the area with this bright yellow light, leaving no area in shadow and allow any excess to flow down into the earth.
The heart chakra is your center and you will experience a balancing, calming effect when this chakra is filled. Allow any excess to flow into the earth.
Feel the quite calm as this indigo colour fills the brow chakra. Let any extra indigo light flow into the universe.
Allow this violet colour to pour over your entire aura in a continuous steady stream; it will protect and balance all aspects of the self.
